Legacy Center Extreme Givers
was inspired by the leadership teams at Legacy Center in Morrisville, NC. As part of their three-month leadership development program, each team completes a significant project in the community that manifests their vision of what’s possible in the world. Projects have budgets up to $50,000 or more, all of which must be contributed by others. Each project must be completed within one weekend with only a 2-3 week lead time before the “extreme giving” weekend, and at least 75% of the work must be performed by members of the community. And, failure is not an option!
Not only do these projects made a significant contribution to the
world, but the leadership teams get to stand outside the ordinary and experience the profound honor and energizing effect of being dedicated to a purpose bigger than themselves. Each team member expands who they are in the world in the face of enormous challenges. They stand in the impossible and make it happen.
Since 1998, The Legacy Center has stood for people to be extraordinary and live their extraordinary lives. Through it’s leadership trainings and personal development seminars, Legacy Center has a rich history of serving the community and empowering it’s graduates to be their best and live free, connected lives that impact the community.
Legacy Center projects have totaled over a million dollars in cash and in-kind contributions that have been donated to the community through more than 125 Legacy Projects. Some of the Legacy Center projects are described on this site.
Legacy Center offers a very unique educational opportunity for people. Most educational systems are designed to teach us new tools, tips, skills or give us new information.
