My Legacy Center Experience

My Legacy Center Experience

Jim G.  Charlotte, NC

I graduated Legacy Center NC86 in the fall of 2006. I was a personal trainer and
fitness instructor at that time. One of my clients had introduced me
to the work being completed at the Legacy Center and invited me to
attend. Being in the health and fitness industry I have been to many
professional conventions and other training opportunities before. I
decided to go because this was one of my biggest clients, and the
fact that he was so sincere, told this me was something different. I
showed up vowing to do it on my terms. What I found at Legacy Center was an amazing
group of individuals really committed to creating positive change, transformation,
and helping others find their voice. This was getting real about what
is really happening in my life today. I knew I had to do it.

Eighteen months later…..

I have formed my own corporation, secured my first contract for
providing corporate wellness and health promotion solutions.

Begun to assemble a team of health professionals to provide the very
best in wellness coaching and health promotion programming.

Developed several websites for our businesses.

Rode three Century (100 mile plus) bike rides for charlity in 2007

Was elected president of the CUMC chapter of the United Methodists
Men’s national association.

Helped lead a mission team to Mississippi to complete Katrina
disaster relief, for the last 5 years

The experience I had in the personal leadership work I completed at
the Legacy Center created a profound change in my outlook on my life.
At the time I had no idea how big that was going to be. I had talent
before, what I received was this crystal clear vision of what I
wanted and an understanding that the only thing keeping me from it
was me. Take the risk to explore all the possibilities that await, if
you dare to look. Find your voice and be heard, make a difference.

I first did the Legacy Center workshops 13 years ago at the age of 18 and have since gone back every few years for a workshop. Having received a bachelors degree and 2 Masters degrees since then, including an MBA, I can honestly say that the Legacy workshops have been the most valuable educational experience in my life…, having truly empowered me to take-on and master elements in every facet of life, from personal fears, to relationships, to my career. I can’t say enough about it and want to thank the Center and its volunteers for the stand they take in the world…

I attended the “Basic” Legacy Center workshop 5 years ago. I began the workshop with serious resistance and reservation and left with a shifted awareness about so much in my life and relationships- and world! It truly was an invaluable experience! The Legacy Center experience is the true embodiment of the phrase, ” Pay it forward!”

Tiffany Peterson We have, are, and will continue to create great things in the world through our awesome trainings at TLC (as my children call it “Tender Loving Care”). For all those haters… what would it be like to START or REBOOT their JOURNEY today? We can stop this virtual homicide by creating EXTRAORDINARY lives for ourselves an…d OTHERS! Let’s look at the front of the ship and REALLY TRANSFORM the world, by touching everyone we know AND reaching out to those we don’t know. Let’s ENROLL them into taking action to change the world! WE can do this! I get to have wellness! My children get to have clean water, air, peace, and fun! My future husband gets to have commitment, love, & passion. I’m on a life mission, so I’ve got to go! I’ve got work to do to shut down the haters and create LOVERS! YEAH!

When I started my Legacy Center Journey I was disconnected, no energy felt old.
This amazing Journey has brought me back to life. I am amazed at what
I can accomplish now. I spoke with an old friend who I had lost touch
with for a couple of years. Suddenly I got an email from her. I
called immediately and soon I was asking her questions about her life
and sharing with her some of the insights I have gotten from my
Journey and I could hear her voice lighten and possibilities open up.
A few days later she emailed what a difference our conversation had
made in her life. Just a shift of perspective changed things. I
learned that when a conversation is heart felt it can create magic.
